Main Cathedral

The grand nave of St. Philomena's Cathedral is the primary place of worship, featuring soaring Gothic arches, magnificent stained glass windows, and the revered altar where daily Masses are celebrated.

Crypt / Lower Chapel

Relic Chapel of St. Philomena

A sacred chapel enshrining the holy relics of St. Philomena, the patroness of the cathedral. Pilgrims come from across India to venerate her relics and seek her powerful intercession.

Perpetual veneration open daily

Side Nave

Blessed Sacrament Chapel

A peaceful chapel reserved for Eucharistic Adoration where the faithful can spend quiet time in the presence of the Lord. The perpetual lamp burns before the Blessed Sacrament day and night.

Adoration: Daily from morning to evening

Lady Chapel

Chapel of Our Lady

Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, this chapel is a beloved place of Marian devotion. The beautiful statue of Our Lady is venerated with daily rosary prayers and novenas.

Rosary: Daily at 6:00 AM before Mass

North Transept

St. Joseph's Chapel

Honouring St. Joseph, co-patron of the cathedral, this chapel is particularly beloved by families and workers who seek his intercession. Special novenas are held in March.

Cathedral Corridor

Calvary / Stations Chapel

The Stations of the Cross are beautifully depicted along the outer corridors of the cathedral. During Lent, communal Stations are prayed every Friday evening as a community devotion.

Visiting the Cathedral

The main cathedral and its chapels are open to visitors and pilgrims throughout the day. We welcome all who come seeking God, whether for prayer, pilgrimage, or simply to appreciate the architectural splendour of this historic cathedral.

  • Opening Hours: 6:00 AM — 8:00 PM (Daily)
  • Entry: Open to all; no entry fee
  • Photography: Permitted outside; discretion inside
  • Dress Code: Modest, respectful attire requested
Pilgrim Information

The Relic Chapel of St. Philomena is open for veneration throughout the day. Guided tours of the cathedral can be arranged through the parish office for school groups, pilgrimage parties, and visiting delegations.

The cathedral is especially busy on Sundays, feast days, and during the Novena to St. Philomena (August 2–10), when thousands of pilgrims gather for solemn celebrations.
