Welcome to St. Joseph's Cathedral, Mysuru
Nestled in the heart of Mysuru, St. Joseph's Cathedral — also known as St. Philomena's Church — stands as a magnificent testament to Gothic architectural grandeur and unwavering Catholic faith. Founded in 1843 under the patronage of Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar III, this sacred edifice has been the spiritual mother church of the Diocese of Mysore for over 180 years.
The cathedral's twin towers soar 187 feet into the Mysuru skyline, housing three magnificent bells that call the faithful to prayer. Its neo-Gothic design, modelled after the great cathedrals of Europe, features stunning stained glass windows, vaulted ceilings, and the revered relics of St. Philomena herself.
