“Catechesis is an education in the faith of children, young people and adults which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life.” (CCC 5)
Upholding this vision, St. Joseph’s Cathedral Parish’s Sunday-School Catechism classes are conducted throughout the year on Sundays as part of equipping the coming generation with deep rooted Catholic faith. Under the Director of the Sunday-School, the second Assistant Parish Priest, a team of highly skilled teachers, including reverent sisters and brothers actively participate in the Catechism training process. Classes are held, after the 9:00 am Mass. On the first Sunday of every month there is a special children Mass. Additionally, we offer separate classes for Holy Communion and Confirmation. We request the parents to send their children for the Catechism Classes.
